I’ll be honest, I’m a wide-tail guy! That being said, there are some days when a pulled-in tail is preferred or required!
The Mid RT was originally developed for those days and is a well-rounded mid-length that allows for a beautiful balance between smooth trim/glide and “pulled-in tail” performance mid-length surfing.
The signature round tail is still on the wider side but combined with a 2+1 (or thruster) set-up and pronounced double concave in the tail, the Mid RT allows for a more drivy and powerful style than our other models and works in a variety of different waves/seasons/conditions. Rocker is moderate in the nose/tail with a flatter curve in the tail and volume pulled back under the feet to promote a skaty and looser feel. A pulled-in single concave under the chest transitions to a pronounced double concave in the tail and 60/40ish rails run from nose-to-tail to create smooth trim/glide along the mid section of the board.
In general, this model is for those looking for a well-rounded mid-length that allows for a balance between smooth trim/glide and performance back-footed surfing in a variety of different conditions.
